As far as publication, some things are in the pipeline, so to speak, but they won’t be out there for a little while. When exactly remains to be seen and until I can quote exact dates, I don’t want to say one way or another. Suffice it to say things are coming. One in particular is a drabble, no more than a hundred words, about dragons which was fascinating to write. It started out as one of those things—see a post about a submission and think that’ll be easy—then two weeks later finally compose something worth submitting. Writing such short micro fiction always seems like it’ll be easy but compressing a full story into such strict confines is a marvelous challenge.
The other thing is that live performances are finally becoming a thing again. I’ve been going out in Chicago sharing fiction and poetry live. And that takes a little time away from other projects, especially when performers – meaning me – are rusty. Along those lines, I’ll be performing some creative nonfiction for Story Sessions at Chicago’s Golden Dagger. If you live in the Chicagoland area, follow the link below to get tickets. The show is May 15th at 7 p.m. and promises to be a fabulous time full of fantastic storytellers.

Otherwise, thanks for checking in. I hope all is well with you and yours. As usual, keep popping around to see what’s been going on. Meanwhile, raise a glass and toast yourself for making it through another month. This hellscape hasn’t eaten you alive… yet… cheers!
