This song was originally slated for the most recent Beerfinger album “Bushido Bovine,” though it got cut at the last minute. The main reason is that it didn’t fit for a variety of reasons. Still, I’m proud of this piece. One could almost call it an aggressive spoken word ode to one of my favorite comic books, Fell. It’s also from a time when I didn’t really know what I was going to do with music, so it came about unrestrained — unrestrained by any intention. As such, following years of failing to make a live action video, I’m presenting this.
The audio is definitely due some discussion. The original version of this is on Youtube, but a very talented audio engineer named Brian Block did me the kindness of redoing the drums as well as tweaking some vocal and instrumental portions. He blended it into something truly polished, which is another reason I’m embarrassed to’ve taken so long giving it to the public. It’s his accomplishment as well as mine.
