I recently took a moment to redo a bit of the last Beerfinger album.  Two tracks in particular just didn't feel right.  I liked what I put out, yet something kept nagging me.  Mainly, I think I rushed completing Heart of the Machine because I was busy with a lot of personal issues at the time.  Quarantine had just begun and I was handling, am still dealing with, my father's death at the start of the year.  It was a significant amount to carry at the time.  Whenever something didn't work, or I couldn't correct some minor imperfection -- it all felt like one more defeat in a year already piled high with shit.  However, I am not one to let something fixable sit by the wayside.  Knowing I could remedy the situation I went back, redid vocals and expanded lyrical content.  It's only two tracks -- Missing Alice and Barfly Daydreams -- but it pulls the album together.      

The improved Heart of the Machine​ should now be available on Apple Music and is definitely up for purchase on Bandcamp.  Other vendors will follow as the material gets rereleased.  If you already own it, the songs should just update to the new versions.  If you didn't purchase them because previews made you think twice, maybe it's time to consider them again.  Either way, follow the links, and remember to leave a review.  Whatever you have to say is appreciated because you took the time to listen.  Cheers!
