Starting things off, I closed October performing for Jill Howe's Story Sessions: Campfire Sessions. The theme revolved around stories that terrify. Jill gathered an assortment of fabulous performers who all shared phenomenal tales perfect for Halloween. While most went supernatural, my own went more into true crime territory, and although I was a little rusty -- it's been too long since live shows -- I think the story is still a solid tale. If nothing else, it's an intense, darkly humorous account of friendship forming while plotting a murder. You can listen by following the Soundcloud link below. The accompanying image, by the by, is by artist Jules Darling. They drew the stories as each was told, adding a touch of live art to the show. So, be sure to check out their work as well.

NO EASY FIX: Flash Fiction Podcast – Manawaker.com
I will say, this is the second ghost hunter article I've done, and I'm starting to enjoy it. With any luck, I'll be able to pitch a few more. My main goal, though, is being able to explore the paranormal places on my own. Rather than simply synopsizing someone else's accounts, I like seeing the haunts myself. Whether or not anything supernatural occurs isn't really the point. It's more about genuine reporting.
